The Purpose and Providence of Publishing
It’s a publishing session at a conference for Christian communicators. It’s being led by a publisher. So surely you know what this is going to be, you’re probably thinking. It’s going to be the good ‘ole how to get published bit, right? Well, sort of. How in the world does someone get published? How do I know if I should try to get published? How do I get an agent? Do I need an agent? What are publishers looking for in an author? But wait, even more than that, does God really want me to do this? How will publishing impact my walk with God? How will being an author complement or compete with my ministry? These are all questions that Mary C. Wiley has seen walked out in the lives of the hundreds of authors she’s worked with over the years and she is going to answer all of them. But it’s her hope that you’ll come for the answers that you think you need and leave with questions you can start asking God. And that from those questions He will lead you to declare His Word more faithfully than you could have imagined.
