10 Promises of God

In a world that seems unstable, it’s difficult to find our footing. What do we do when we feel like we are being hit from every side with no end in sight? We stand firm on the promises of God. No matter the season, we can always rest in His character which is seen through His promises.

Here are 10 promises of God…

1. His Mercies Are New Every Day
   • “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
         his mercies never come to an end;
          they are new every morning;
         great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
2. He Loves Us
   • “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
3. His Love Overcomes Our Fear
   • “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” 1 John 4:18
4. He Never Leaves Our Side
   • “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 3:16
5. He is Our Hope
   • “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
6. He is Right By Our Side
   • “fear not, for I am with you;
       be not dismayed, for I am your God;
       I will strengthen you, I will help you,
       I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
7. He is Our Peace
   • “You will keep him in perfect peace,
     Whose mind is stayed on You,
     Because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3
8. He is Our Comfort
   • “…who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4
9. He is Our Strength
   • “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed.” Psalm 28:7-8
10. He is Our Help and Our Deliverer
    • “I waited patiently for the Lord;  he inclined to me and heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1
