2. I don’t have a blog {yet} or I am very, very new to blogging. Is Declare Conference for me?
Yes. Declare is a great place to learn and be encouraged by other women who were once right where you are. The Declare Community is made up of women of all ages and stages of life and experience. And let me tell you, almost everyone feels a little insecure at first not knowing what to expect, but it is our heart to make sure everyone feels at home. We are already praying for the friendships that will be formed at Declare.
3. I’ve been blogging since 2005 and I am a more advanced blogger. Is Declare Conference for me?
Yes. We have such a diverse group of speakers and they are speaking on topics ranging from beginner to advanced blogging subjects. Declare is designed to reach bloggers and online influencers new and seasoned! We hope to challenge you, and even teach you some new tips and tricks! Fresh vision for your blog and your online voice is always a good thing.
4. What age group are the women in who come to the conference?
The age is from 18 to 110. There are women at just about every stage coming {okay, well maybe no one in their 100’s…yet}. Whatever stage of life you are in you will find others at the conference who are in it, too. Please note: with the exception of nursing babies, children may not attend Declare Conference.
5. I see two airports in Dallas. Which one should I fly into?
DFW Airport is closer to the hotel but Dallas Love Field is only about 5 minutes more of a drive. Sometimes the airfare to Dallas Love Field is cheaper. So, check both options for the best price.
6. How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
The hotel does not provide a shuttle from the airport. However, there are other means of transportation. Get information about taxis and buses here. We encourage you to chat with other attendees on twitter {use hashtag #declareconf} to see who’s flying in at the same time as you and who you could possibly share a ride with to split the cost. Here are the options and prices.
- Preferred Transportation; fee: 37 USD {one way} ;on request
- Bus service via SupperShuttle, fee: 18 USD {one way}
- Estimated taxi fare: 35 USD {one way}
7. When should I get to the conference by and when should I plan to leave?
Declare LABS are Thursday from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. If you are attending LABS, please arrive by 12:30pm at the latest so you can get settled into the LAB classroom in time. LAB information is here. Conference registration begins at 4:00pm on Thursday, August 7 and goes until 7:00pm. The opening keynote begins at 7:30pm. You’ll want to be here for that for sure!
The conference will end at 10:00 pm on Saturday, August 10th. If you are flying out or driving a long distance home you may want to stay at the hotel an extra night and leave on Sunday. We are offering an informal morning of application and reflection for those still at the hotel Sunday morning.
8. I want to stay at the hotel and would like to room with other women. How do I find a roomie?
Roommates at conferences are fun! To find another attendee in need of a room try asking on twitter using the #declareconf hashtag. You may also post a request on The Declare Conference Facebook Page.
9. I need gluten-free or other allergy friendly meals. Will I be able to eat anything at the conference?

10. I purchased a ticket but am no longer able to attend. Can I get a refund.
Declare tickets are nonrefundable. However, you can transfer your ticket to another woman by giving it to or selling it to her.
