Next year will be the 10th annual Declare Conference. Wow! What started as a step in wild obedience has led us on this beautiful journey of seeing God’s goodness impact the lives of women all over the world.
In the past 9 years thousands of women have been to a Declare conference (coming from all over the country and world!), dozens have met up with Declare friends at a local Declare Connect event, hundreds of women have enrolled in an online Declare Equip class, and even more are part of the growing online Declare community.
It’s incredible. We are so grateful! Thank you for being a part of Declare. We have witnessed God move in countless, wondrous ways, and the 10th annual Declare Conference is going to be a time for us to celebrate together all God has done! As well as a time to learn together how to glorify God in our work as communicators and influencers. We have been dreaming, praying, and planning for what’s to come.
And here’s the thing: God is in the business of changing our plans to align with His plan. And the result is always something better than we could ever hope for.
When we met to discuss, pray, and make decisions about the future of Declare, God made it clear that there is still so much that can be done through this ministry of equipping and encouraging Christian communicators. He burdened our hearts again for you who are using your voices, your words, and your platforms to glorify God.
And then He changed our plans, and made it clear that the ministry of Declare will continue without the conference. Next year, 2020, will be the last year of the Declare Conference as we know it.
The truth is, the call never was to host conferences, to sell tickets, or to pack stadiums full of women. The call – and the heart of Declare – was always to encourage and equip Christian women communicators to declare the goodness of God. That isn’t changing. We’re not going anywhere!
The Lord is graciously giving us a fresh vision, devotion, capacity, and focus for growing other aspects of Declare: Equip, Connect, the online community, the Podcast, and the Blog.
We will walk in wild obedience as God continues to lead us, and we will remain faithful to serve to meet the needs Declare community. We are called to be Kingdom-builders. We are assigned by Jesus to tell others the Good News about God’s mighty kindness and love. We’re here for it! We are just as passionate and determined now as we were 9 years ago to provide resources for you to reach the most people in the most meaningful ways with your God-given gifts to make Him known.
So, as we GET OUR HOPES UP for Declare Conference 2019, we’re also expectant for Declare Conference 2020, and praising God for the vision He’s giving us for the future of the Declare ministry.
