Q: What is included in the price of a ticket to Declare?
A: Your Declare ticket reserves you a seat to opening night Thursday, and in all of the sessions Friday and Saturday. The ticket price includes lunch Friday and Saturday. Plus, amazing worship, time to connect with the incredible sponsors, and some sweet parting gifts. {leave room in your luggage!} The ticket price does not include your hotel room. Breakfast is included for everyone who stays at The Cooper Hotel, and dinner is “on your own” with Declare friends.
Q: I don’t have a blog yet or I am very, very new to blogging. Is Declare for me?
A: Yes. Declare is a great place to learn and be encouraged by other women who are- or were once right where you are. The Declare Community is diversely made up of women of all ages and stages of life and experience. It is our heart to make sure everyone feels welcomed, loved, and comfortable. We are already praying for the friendships that will be formed at Declare.
Q: I’ve been blogging since 2005 and I am a more advanced blogger. Is Declare Conference for me?
A: Yes. We have such amazing speakers and they are speaking on topics ranging from beginner to advanced blogging subjects. Declare is designed to reach bloggers and online influencers new and seasoned! We hope to challenge you, and even teach you some new tips and tricks! Fresh vision for your blog and your online voice is always a good thing.
Q: What should I bring??
A: To make the most of your time at Declare, we recommend bringing your laptop/tablet, camera, phone, all the essential chargers and cords, maybe some business cards (not necessary but nice to have to exchange contact info!), a notebook or journal, your favorite pen, your bible…comfortable clothing and shoes, and your beautiful smile!
Q: What age group are the women in who come to the conference?
A: The age is from 18 to 110. There are women at just about every stage coming {okay, well maybe no one in their 100’s…yet}. Whatever stage of life you are in you will find others at the conference who are in it, too. Please note: with the exception of nursing babies, children may not attend Declare Conference.
Q: I see two airports in Dallas. Which one should I fly into?
A: Dallas Love Field Airport and DFW Airport are both about 20 minutes from The Cooper Hotel. Sometimes the airfare into Dallas Love Field is cheaper. We recommend you check both options for the best price.
Q: How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
A: The hotel does not provide a shuttle from the airport. However, there are other means of transportation including rental cars, taxis, SuperShuttle, and Uber service. Chat with other attendees on twitter {use hashtag #declareconf} and in the Declare Community Facebook page to see who’s flying in at the same time as you and who you could possibly share a ride with to split the cost.
Q: When should I get to the conference by and when should I plan to leave?
A: Declare Labs are Thursday from 9am until 4pm. If you are attending Labs, please arrive by 8:30am to get checked into the Lab classroom in time. Conference registration begins at 3:00pm on Thursday, July 30 and goes until 5:00pm. The opening keynote begins at 6pm. You’ll want to be here for that for sure!
The conference will end after the closing keynote, around 7pm, on Saturday, August 1. If you are flying out or driving a long distance home you may want to stay at the hotel an extra night and leave on Sunday.
Q: I want to stay at the hotel and would like to share the cost with another attendee. How do I find a roommate?
A: Roommates at conferences are fun! To find another attendee in need of a room try asking on twitter using the #declareconf hashtag. You may also post a request on the Declare Community Facebook Page.
Q: I need gluten-free or other allergy friendly meals. Will I be able to eat anything at the conference?
A: We understand how hard it is to find food you can eat when you have food allergies, intolerance or celiac disease. When you purchased your ticket to the conference, there was an option to include special dietary needs. If you missed that section of the registration process please email us and we will make sure you have the appropriate meals.
Q: Will there be any publishers at Declare again this year?
A: Not officially. However, Jenn Sprinkle, author of Thirty One Days of Prayer for the Dreamer and the Doer, and co-founder of The {well} Studio for women entrepreneurs, has offered to spend dedicated time mentoring attendees that are interested in beginning the publishing process. She will be available for one-on-one sessions by appointment only. More info and sign up HERE
Q: How many women attend Declare?
A: We are inviting 125 women this year.
Q: Is there an area where we can buy things from the sponsors, like books?
A: YES! Our sponsors are looking forward to meeting you, introducing you to their brand/organization, and some will have products for purchase and ways to support their cause. We are excited for the sponsors we’ve partnered with this year! Connect with them before, during, and after the conference: SPONSORS
