This year we are adding something new and exciting to your options at Declare. We heard from some of you last year that you would like an extended time in a smaller setting to get your blogging questions answered and implement what you learn at the same time. That is why this year we are adding optional Labs to your Declare Conference experience.
The labs will be in a small class setting with an expert teacher who will walk you through taking your blogging to the next level step-by-step. Each lab will be 3 hours long and you have your choice of one topic. Labs begin at 1 PM prior to the start of The Declare Conference at The Dallas Marriott Las Colinas on Thursday, August 7th, 2014. The lab topics are:
1. Build a Blog from Start to Post {Wordpress}
You have a blog, now what? Learn how to set up your blog, add widgets, add plug ins, set up comments, add images and create a great posts. This Lab is great if you are a beginner or have not felt like you really understand WordPress and its features.
2. Social Media
Walk through using social media to share your blog posts and interact with others. Learn how to use Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Google+ to reach your audience.
3. Photography
How to take great photographs with your DSLR and your phone. Learn photography basics as well as composing a great shot and editing photos.
4. Graphics
How to create amazing graphics for your posts and social media. How to find editable and shareable images, adding titles and quotes, branding your images and sharing them.
The cost to take a lab is $75 for 3 hours of hands-on learning. We have a limited number of seats in each class and we are keeping them small so that you get your questions answered.
The cut off to sign up for a lab is June 1st {or when they sell out, which ever comes first}. Lab attendees will also receive a Declare Conference t-shirt while supplies last. *Please note that you must have a ticket to attend The Declare Conference to attend any Labs.
